One of my calendar events is about to start. Look at the event: its title, description, and attendees. If it's a personal block, a focus block, or has no other attendees, stop and do nothing. Otherwise, research the people and companies I'm meeting. For each external attendee, find their role and company; for each company, what it does, its size, and any recent news from the last [30] days. Check my recent email threads with them for open questions or promises I made. Write a brief with: who's in the meeting, what the meeting is likely about, the [3] things worth raising, and anything I owe them. Keep it to one page and put the most useful line first.
