Triage recruiter emails as they arrive
A quick read on each recruiter's role, fit, and a suggested reply
A new email just arrived in my Gmail. Decide whether it's a recruiter or hiring manager reaching out about a job. If it isn't, stop and do nothing. If it is, find out about the role and company: the title, level, location or remote policy, compensation if mentioned, and what the company does. Compare it with what I'm looking for: [target roles, level, location, and minimum compensation]. Rate the fit as strong, maybe, or pass with one line on why. Draft a short reply in the thread: interested and asking for next steps, asking for details that are missing, or a polite no. Save the reply as a draft and don't send it. Tell me the company, role, fit rating, and which reply you drafted.
